A plug adapter simply allows your device’s plug to fit into Italian outlets, which use Type C, F, and L sockets. However, it does not change the voltage. Italy operates on 230V and 50Hz, while North America uses 120V and 60Hz. If your device is dual voltage (marked as 100-240V), you only need a plug adapter. But if your device is single voltage (e.g., 110V only), you’ll need a power converter to safely step up the voltage and prevent damage. Many modern electronics, like laptops and phone chargers, are dual voltage, but high-powered devices like hair dryers may require a converter. Always check your device’s voltage before plugging it in!
