🎟️ Helicopter to a Dogsledding Experience 10:20 am
Simple, step‑by‑step directions

Because the Juneau cruise berths sit directly on S Franklin St, getting under the tram cables is extremely easy:

  • Walk off the ship onto S Franklin St (the waterfront street every berth connects to).
  • Turn toward the mountain side of the street—left or right depending on your exact berth.
  • Look up: the tram cables run overhead, stretching from the waterfront station up the mountain.
  • Walk toward the large Goldbelt Tram building at 490 S Franklin St.

Within a few steps, you will be directly under the cables, which cross the street just before the station entrance. The Dock Representative will be dressed in orange holding a Coastal Helicopters sign.

🐳Whale Watching 3:30 pm

Departure Point: Tour check-in is centrally located at the main cruise ship terminal in downtown Juneau.

DIRECTIONS: Meet your tour representative 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time on the wooden dock that is on the water-side of the large red Mt Robert’s Tramway building (490 S Franklin St) at the main Cruise Ship Terminal (the tramway building houses the gondola that goes up the mountain).

Your Alaska Tales Tour Representative will be holding a sign that will read, 🪧Alaska Tales. If you have any trouble finding this person, please call 907-419-3098.

Dress: Warmly and in layers, and wear rubber-soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. The tour company will provide overshoes and can supply raincoats as needed. Remember to bring your camera, film and binoculars!

Cruising: How to Get from the Vancouver Cruise Port to Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

Disembarking from a cruise at Canada Place in Vancouver and heading straight to the airport is incredibly easy. Whether you prefer speed, budget-friendly options, or maximum comfort, Vancouver offers several convenient ways to travel between the cruise terminal and Vancouver International Airport (YVR). My page🔗 breaks down each option so you can choose the best fit for your travel day.

💵 Royal Caribbean’s prepaid gratuities cover your stateroom attendant and main dining/restaurant service team, so you don’t need to tip them again unless you want to. Many guests still choose to give a small extra cash tip at the end of the cruise for exceptional service, but it’s completely optional. Prepaid gratuities do not include specialty dining, bar service, spa, or room service—those areas automatically add an 18–20% service charge, and additional tipping is up to you.
