The Canada Line SkyTrain is the most popular way to get from the cruise port to the airport.
How it works:
Walk 5–10 minutes from Canada Place to Waterfront Station.
Board the Canada Line heading toward YVR–Airport.
Ride time is 26–30 minutes with no transfers.
Purchase a Compass Ticket at cash rate from Compass Vending Machines.
Tap your ticket to the card reader at the fare gates as you enter and exit to validate your fare.
Cost: Typically $4–$6 CAD (adult single fare; no AddFare outbound). Frequency: Trains run every 6–10 minutes.

Disembark early if you have a morning flight — customs lines can be long.
SkyTrain is the most reliable during peak traffic hours.

🚶♂️ Walking Route: Canada Place → Waterfront Station (SkyTrain)
1. Start at Canada Place (Cruise Terminal Area)
You’ll be on the waterfront side, facing the sails of Canada Place.
2. Walk toward the main entrance of the Pan Pacific Hotel
The hotel sits directly above the cruise terminal. Follow the pedestrian walkway that slopes upward toward the hotel lobby area.
3. Enter the Pan Pacific / Vancouver Convention Centre walkway
Once inside, follow signs for “Waterfront Station / SkyTrain / SeaBus”. These signs are very visible and consistent.
4. Take the escalator or elevator down to street level
You’ll exit onto Howe Street or Cordova Street, depending on which escalator you take.
5. Walk east along Cordova Street
Turn left (east) and walk along W. Cordova Street for about 2 minutes. You’ll see the historic brick Waterfront Station building ahead — it’s large and unmistakable.
6. Enter Waterfront Station
Go through the main doors into the grand hall.
7. Follow signs for the Canada Line
Inside the station:
Walk straight through the hall
Follow the blue Canada Line signs
The Canada Line entrance is downstairs via escalator
8. Tap in at the fare gates
You’ll see the fare gates directly before the escalators leading down to the Canada Line platforms.
9. Board the Canada Line toward YVR Airport

The best cruise ship cabin location to avoid seasickness is midship (center of the ship) on a lower deck, ideally with a window or balcony for horizon visibility.
🛳️ Why Midship on Lower Decks Is Ideal
Midship cabins are located at the center of the ship, which is the most stable area. This section experiences the least amount of pitch (front-to-back motion) and roll (side-to-side motion).
Lower decks feel less movement than higher decks. The higher you go, the more sway you’ll feel during rough seas.
Balcony or oceanview cabins help your body orient visually. Seeing the horizon can reduce nausea and dizziness caused by motion confusion.

Forward (front) and aft (back) cabins experience more motion and are more likely to trigger seasickness.

ACCEPTED IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS
U.S. Passport book that is valid at least 6 months after your cruise ends. A U.S. Passport book is required for sailings that depart from homeports outside of the U.S..
For sailings departing from U.S. homeports, an official U.S. Birth Certificate is also accepted. Guests age 16 and older that present a Birth Certificate will also need to provide a valid Driver’s License or picture ID issued by the government. Please note that hospital Birth Certificates (baby feet Birth Certificates) are not accepted.
No refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation.

TRAVELLING USING A BIRTH CERTIFICATE
What if the name on my identification doesn’t match the name on my reservation?
It is important that the name on your reservation be exactly as it is stated on your passport or other official proof of nationality. If your name has changed since your document was issued (e.g., marriage or divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document (e.g., a state, county or province issued marriage license, divorce decree or legal name change document) of the name change. All documents must be the original or a notarized copy. Additionally, if you are using an identification (e.g., driver’s license) and a citizenship document (e.g., birth certificate), then BOTH documents must match the name on your reservation. Otherwise, it may result in delay or possible denial of boarding.
OHIO IDENTIFICATION CARDS FOR CHILDREN
There is no minimum age for an Ohio ID card. You may apply for an Ohio ID card for your child at any deputy registrar location.
Ohio ID cards are used for identification purposes only.
Ohio photo ID cards for children may assist police if a child is reported missing.

Where can I see my flights, transfers, hotel, and cruise? You will receive your flight information from the NCL Air Department which generally follow a “30 day out” policy for sending flight confirmations. It is an entirely different department from the cruise department, and each sends out their own documents rather than consolidating everything in one easy to read itinerary for you. What should I do if my flight is delayed and what happens if I miss my outbound flight?
If your flight is delayed on your day of sailing, please follow these guidelines:
Advise your airline as soon as possible that you are a cruise guest sailing that day. They will do all they can to book alternative flights.
Ask the airline to contact our emergency number 0208 834 9013 immediately and we will do our best to get you on board. If you miss your flight due to your own error, Norwegian Cruise Line will not cover any additional costs for rebooking.
Please note that if you miss your outbound flight the airline may consider this a ‘no show’ and may also cancel the return flight. In such cases, any additional expenses for rebooking return flights will not be covered by Norwegian Cruise Line
