Post‑Cruise Option 1

Civitavecchia ➜ Rome (2 Nights) ➜ Venice (2 Nights) ➜ Return to Baltimore (BWI)

Day 1 – Disembark in Civitavecchia
After leaving the ship in Civitavecchia, travel into Rome for your post‑cruise stay.

• Civitavecchia ➜ Rome Transfer
  • Private transfer or cruise shuttle directly to your Rome hotel, or
  • Taxi/shuttle to Civitavecchia train station, then a regional train to Roma Termini.
• Rome – 2 Nights
  • Enjoy iconic sites such as the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Vatican City.
  • Recommended: Book timed-entry tickets for Vatican Museums or the Colosseum.

Day 3 – Rome ➜ Venice
Travel from Rome to Venice by high‑speed train.

• Roma Termini ➜ Venezia Santa Lucia
  • Frecciarossa or Italo high‑speed trains
  • Travel time: approximately 3.5–4 hours
  • Arrive directly on the Grand Canal at Santa Lucia station
• Venice – 2 Nights
  • Stay near Piazza San Marco for easy access to major sights.
  • Explore St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace, Rialto Bridge, and the canals.
  • Optional: Gondola ride or vaporetto ride along the Grand Canal.

Departure Day – Venice ➜ Baltimore (BWI)
Depart from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) for your return flight to Baltimore.

• Hotel ➜ Venice Airport (VCE)
  • Water taxi or vaporetto to Piazzale Roma, then shuttle/taxi to the airport, or
  • Direct private water taxi to the airport dock.
• Venice (VCE) ➜ Baltimore (BWI)
  • Most itineraries connect through a major European hub (FRA, AMS, CDG, etc.).
  • Plan to arrive at VCE at least 3 hours before departure.

POST-CRUISE OPTION 2

Civitavecchia (Rome) to Venice

After disembarking in Civitavecchia, you’ll first make your way into Rome before continuing on to Venice.

• Step 1: Civitavecchia ➜ Rome
  From the port, you can take either:
  • A pre-arranged cruise transfer or private car directly to Rome Termini station or Fiumicino Airport (FCO), or
  • A local shuttle/taxi to Civitavecchia train station, then a regional train into Rome.
• Step 2: Rome ➜ Venice by Train
  • High-speed trains (Frecciarossa/Italo) run from Roma Termini to Venezia Santa Lucia.
  • Typical travel time: about 3.5–4 hours.
  • Recommended to book advance tickets and choose a mid-day departure to allow for disembarkation and transfer time.
• Step 3: Arrival in Venice
  • You’ll arrive at Venezia Santa Lucia, right on the Grand Canal.
  • From there, you can take a vaporetto (water bus) or water taxi to your hotel near Piazza San Marco or other areas.
